Kristen Callihan is not a new author to me so I already had my hopes up for ‘Idol’ before I started and I was not disappointed as this was a 5 star read. I am thrilled to be able to say that this was different from the rocker romance stories that I have read of late which only added to my enjoyment of the book.

Killian James is the ultimate rock star with fans around the world that would love to have a piece of him. Killian is a bit jaded with his life and needs to walk away for a have some piece and quite. Things have been difficult and he just doesn’t feel the same as he used to about his music. His band mates, manager and fans want him back though and he can only hold them off for so long.

“Love. Hate. No down time. No middle ground. Just highs and lows.”

Literally crashing into Liberty’s life is just what Killian needs. This small feisty woman makes him feel again and sparks something in him that he is sure he hasn’t felt before, nothing has felt as good as his time with her not even the adoration of thousands of fans. However Liberty Bell isn’t too easy to crack like most other people he has come across. She doesn’t know who he is to stat with and when she does she doesn’t want from him like everyone else.

Liberty is not impressed by the drunk lying sprawled out in her grass with his bike wrapped around her fence. She is furious with him and at first wants nothing to do with him. She enjoys her own time, being a recluse and living how she wants. Unfortunately for her the more time she spends with him the more she realises he is cracking the walls she has up and she no longer enjoys her own time the same way as she had before. Rory can’t and won’t leave Liberty alone.

“We’re wrapped up in each other. I hadn’t noticed before now. It feels natural, where I’m supposed to be.”

This is another great book by Kristen Callihan and it has the witty, light hearted but heated banter that you come to love in her books. This was a heartfelt story that has humour and charm that you can’t help but love. The romance between Killian and Liberty builds from friendship even though there is instant chemistry and attraction there. As the reader you are swept along with them and feel with and for them. Great main and also secondary characters that I want to know so much more about and am looking forward to the next one.
