Review : Playboy Pilot by Penelope Ward & Vi Keeland

There’s a reason I love being a reviewer, and that’s because of books like Playboy Pilot, from Penelope Ward & Vi Keeland.

From the very start of this book I was hooked. What drew me in instantly was how different it was, I mean, what better way to start a story, then in an airport lounge! Sometimes as a reader you like the pre-stories of the characters you are about to read, until you come across a piece of writing that makes you stand up and pay attention straight away.

That’s what I received with Playboy Pilot. Straight away I was not only introduced to Penelope’s & Vi’s characters, but I was also given the opportunity to delve straight into the story of them. There was no slow introduction to each of them individually, their unique story kicks off from page one, and only gets better from there.

Kendall Sparks is a girl with a dilemma, and not a lot of time to choose how she should deal with it. Running away and escaping, Kendall ends up in an airport lounge, but she has no idea where she wants to travel to. Enter Captain Carter Clynes, a guy Kendall meets in the lounge bar. The connection between these two is instant, and he offers her a suggestion to her travel problem, which she ends up acting on.

From that simple suggestion comes an adventure that would take both Carter, and Kendall on a journey of self-discovery. There was no missing the magnetism between these two, which by the way is off the charts. What I loved the most, what really pulled me in, was how these two authors portrayed through their words, a gripping, heart wrenching love story. A story that had the ability to squeeze out of you so many emotions, that you felt like you were experiencing everything Kendall and Carter did.

There is so much more I could say about this book, but then I would be ruining it for those who are yet to read it. It’s an amazing story and I will be recommending this one to my friends.

This really is a well-deserved, five star read for me.
