Review : Any time and Any place by Jennifer Probst

Writing: Great
Violence: Some, minimal
Sex: Explicit
Narration: 1st person, alternating

Any Time and Any Place, the second novel in the Billionaire Builders series by Jennifer Probst, is a magnificent story of two young people caught up in the past yet trying to navigate a possible future.

Raven Bella Hawthorne lost her father at a young age to a horrific car accident, leaving her to be raised by her aunt. After trying almost everything and still unable to deal with losing her father, she takes off traveling to find herself and get away.  When she is finally ready to settle back into life and start searching for the answers she so desperately needs, she moves to Harrington, Connecticut and buys a local bar which becomes a premier spot in town for dining and libation.  What she doesn’t count on is running into the very people she blames for her past sorrows.

Dalton Pierce is no stranger to tragedy either.  Rather than dwell on the past, he drowns himself in his work, handcrafted woodworking.  After meeting the beautiful bartender, Dalton is ready to do anything he can to get her attention, and as luck would have it, she has a bar that needs a little TLC.  He can’t wait to get his hands on the bar…and hopefully the bartender.

Raven has no intention of falling for the handy playboy.  She’s looking for a love that will last a lifetime and has no interest in wasting her time on something short term.  Dalton thinks time and hard work could wear her down, allowing him to satisfy his intense attraction to her and then move on, but an unexpected turn of events could ruin both of their plans.

Can Raven and Dalton bridge the distance between his playboy ways and her desire to find her love of a lifetime?  Or will a tragic past get in the way of what could be forever?

Any Time, Any Place was a great read.  I was immediately taken in by Raven’s story of heartbreak and truly admired her strong spirit.  She is a well written character that you find yourself rooting for right from the start.  Yet when Dalton enters, you really cheer for him to ruin her well laid out plans.  The chemistry between the two of them is so palpable I could feel it in my soul, and with that much attraction, comes the possibility of intense heartache, which I also felt.

Any Time, Any Place is the second installment of the Billionaire Builder series.  As of now, I have not read the first book Every Where and Every Way, but plan on fixing that right quick.  You do not need to read the first in the series to be able to follow the characters in book two.  The rest of this series is absolutely going on my TBR list!
