Review : Hard Hitter by Sarina Bowen

As a fan of Sarina Bowen I was keen to get my hands on ‘Hard Hitter’ and I wasn’t disappointed. For fans of sports romance novels will know Sarina definitely knows how to write great sports romances and she has written another hit with this one, 4.5 stars.

As a master of hooking you in and turning the story into something you don’t expect Sarina has done it again. With brilliant characters and intense chemistry between them you are instantly engrossed in the tale of Patrick and Ari. Watching as they grew into friends and more was great as they were both holding some baggage that controls them a bit. There was serious heat between them that ignited the page along with some major drama.

I was completely sucked into this story from the beginning and loved it from beginning to end. There was some seriousness to the toll that hockey can take on a person and how they cope with that along with Ari’s realisation that the man she thought was right just wasn’t, she was destined to be with someone else.

Another great book in the ‘Brooklyn Bruisers’ series and although it can be read as a standalone I really think you would be missing out on a brilliant first book in the series if you don’t start on book one. I personally can’t wait for the next book in the series.
