Trigger by LP Dover was a 4.5 star read for me. It had suspense, a love story and a man who finds his way after an awful past.
Emma had a college crush on Preston and when he disappeared from her life all those years ago, a piece of her heart went with him. Preston is a trained killer and he does everything he can to keep his past away from him. His past brings back too many bad memories for him even though he hasn't stopped thinking about avenging those days.
When Emma is pushed back into Preston's life, he does everything he can to ignore her and act like being around her again is not bringing back feelings he no longer wants to hold. Too bad little miss Emma is not to be taken lightly and ignored. She fights to bring Preston back to life and live in the present and future with her. Emma was a sassy strong heroine that knew what she wanted and went after it. She was an absolute joy to read. Preston was this quiet, stormy kind of guy that you knew not to tangle with.
It was a great story and one that I normally do not read but LP Dover sucked me in again and I have another book to add to my favorites list.
