A city girl ventures to Alaska to find men for a dating column, what she finds is another perspective on love and another outlook on life in Sex in the Sticks by Sawyer Bennett.
Valentine “Val” French is your typical socialite city girl, however, instead of falling in line to her mother’s wishes of high society she marches to the beat of her own drum and works as a dating and sex advice columnist. Using her own experiences to help guide women who are lacking in the dating world. Unfortunately, she feels she is lacking in the romance department herself… there is just no good men in the city! Her cousin suggest she leave the city to find another set of bachelors, far far away... like say, Alaska?!
East Merritt, Alaska is definitely not NYC, but her cousin was correct; the men do outnumber women in this small quaint town. Finding herself in binding situations and being saved multiple times by the police chief Logan Burke. Now, that's a man she can fall for: protective, caring, handsome, rugged but she finds out when you get him behind closed doors, he becomes unleashed, in a hot and dominating way.
Valentine wants what every woman wants in life: to be worshiped, loved, cherished and praised in and out of bed. What woman doesn’t? But what happens when Logan listens to the town's gossip or when he gets word about her dating column?
Sawyer’s work is captivating and enriching, having all the emotions you need and more in a romantic novel. Logan, is one sexy Alaskan! The way he is described and my imagination is just too good! To see Valentine change in her own personal growth was a delight and then for her to go after her man is a nice change. She is one strong female!
